A Letter From The 2024 VP of Recruitment
Dear Potential New Member,
As the Vice President of Recruitment for the Panhellenic Association, I am incredibly honored to welcome you to our Panhellenic community! By choosing to join a Panhellenic sorority, you are taking the first few steps towards enhancing your college experience and finding your home away from home. Navigating college can be a scary and overwhelming time. By making the decision to go through recruitment, you will have the opportunity to find like minded individuals who you will be able to call your sisters and siblings. They will guide you, support you, and love you throughout not just your college years, but even beyond.
As you prepare for the recruitment process, I urge you to take a step back and ask yourself these questions: “What am I looking for in a sisterhood/siblinghood? What are some of my personal values? What are some causes or charities that I am passionate about?”. Throughout your recruitment experience, approach each interaction with not only an open mind but also an open heart. Listen carefully as chapter members share their values and express their passion for their philanthropies while remembering how each chapter made you feel as you left the room. While this process can be time consuming and exhausting, it can also be exhilarating and eye opening. Not only will you be meeting and interacting with a wide range of people, but you may also discover other qualities about yourself that you may not have recognized before. Make the most of this experience and embrace it!
Should you have any questions before, during, or throughout your recruitment journey, please feel free to email me at bsupharecruitment@gmail.com. I am always available as a resource to answer your questions, point you in the right direction, and most importantly, I am here to listen! Don’t hesitate to reach out at any point in the process.
Whether you are an incoming freshman, junior, transfer student, international student, etc., you will have a place to call home within the Sorority and Fraternity Life community and we are ready to welcome you with open arms as you prepare for one of the most life changing experiences. As you attend recruitment events and engage in conversation with members of the Greek community, I want to remind you to take a deep breath, remain true to yourself, and seek out a chapter that you envision yourself growing in. I cannot wait to welcome you home!
So much love! <3
